Bringing people together

About Libby

Libby O’Loghlin is a cross-genre author, entrepreneur and community builder. She is a versatile speaker, able to distil broad-ranging topics into considered and inspirational talks that tap into large life themes — what it means to be human, and how we can orient ourselves to a meaningful life during times of great change on the planet.

Libby grew up in various different cultural contexts, including in Australia, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA. She now lives in Zürich, Switzerland.

Creating a future you believe in

Among her many behind-the-scenes achievements, Libby was Co-Founder, on the Board of Directors and Head of Strategic Communications at ReCarbonX AG, an eco-footprint product tracking and reporting system for large scale manufacturing.

She co-founded and served for a decade on the boards of two Swiss social impact nonprofits: The Powerhouse Network for Professional Women in Zürich and The Woolf, where she was Co-Creative Director of The Woolf’s Quarterly online literary journal, growing and serving the writing community in Switzerland and Europe. Libby was also a founding contributor to the Decarbonista Social Impact Project, and is co-author (with Renée LaPlante) of Decarbonista: A Refreshing Guide to Climate Savvy Living.

Finding your voice

Libby has taught, edited and mentored hundreds of writers at all stages of their writing journey. She co-founded, moderated and led workshops at Zürich’s successful WriteCon, an annual writers’ and publishers’ event that ran from 2009-2019, and has worked as a ghostwriter, TEDx speechwriter, and a bookseller. In a coaching capacity, Libby has developed and delivered poetry, prose and writing programs for people in recovery in a private clinic environment.

A prize-winning short story writer herself, Libby’s debut novel for teens, Charlotte Aimes, was longlisted for the 2015 Bath Children’s Novel Award.

We look forward to hearing from you about your next event.
